Collaborative

A growing ADR process in the Virginia community is using the collaborative law process for settling both family and civil disputes. Unlike other ADR services, each party retains attorneys who have special training in the collaborative process. These attorneys, their clients, financial, parenting (if needed) and other professionals (as needed) work together in a non-adversarial approach to resolve the issues, preserve while enabling the parties to transition their relationship, and provide the parties with a plan for moving forward..

As a founding member of Virginia Collaborative Professionals (“VaCP”) and the Collaborative Professionals of Richmond (“CPR”), and member of the International Association of Collaborative Professionals (“IACP”), Ms. King has been actively involved in this process, training of professionals, and development in Virginia since 2005.
